If they fired him for reasons that wasn't about them getting filthy rich than yeah but they just wanted money and now they have ruin their own self.

He was. Look at what happen since Osten has gotten his filthy hands on the band. Its mainstream with lyrics focusing on the same topic half the times.

I don't really have any opinion on this. He created Tristania; a amazing band, got fired and went on to create Sirenia; another amazing bands it's a loss for Tristania and a win for Morten.

Tristania did suffer a big loss by firing Morten. No offense to people who love Osten but he sucks at lyrics. Most of the time its the same story over and over.

Morten was as important for Tristania as Tarja for Nighwtish. They got fired and the band wasn't the same. they both continue in the world of music. Tarja's last work is beautiful (My winter storm), and Morten's Sirenia is the reason why I'm here ^^ comenting on this forum.

Tristania today is not the worse band ever, and Nightwish neither. Both are good. Now instead os Nightwish and tristania, we have: Nightiwsh, Tristania, Sirenia and Tarja...mmm...Nice, isn't it?

Morten said this but Anders said the opposite. Being a Morten's big fan I trust Morten but we can't know who has right

I'll say right to, if all the other bandmembers decided as one group that Morten is not member anyone, thats their decision. With AF firing Mark, there was good reason when they got completely different vision of making music, but if the reason here was to get more money, then i dont know, odd situation

I first want to say that I love both bands.

As for whether they were right or not to fire Morten, I cannot say...personally, I think that it is for the best no matter whether Morten or Tristania is "right." I am essentially selfish, and I like having both Sirenia and "the new Tristania with Osten et cetera" to listen to.

Also, a side-note: I like Osten! His voice is majestic.

For me it is 'water under the bridge' because both turned out very well. I like both bands a lot for different qualities. Maybe it is time to berry the conflict...

I don't know what they were thinking when they did this...I mean, who would be so stupid not to want a composer like Morten for his band?

^^
True. But maybe there was a personal dispute going on behind scenes. Notice that both of the bands prime members (Vibeke & Morten) quit the band to do other projects.
